Giving Romanians a free painting 🎨 Hey guys, welcome back. This was an interesting episode—I went on a journey of not enjoying this painting at all, but pulled myself up by the bootstraps to get it done despite low morale, propelled by the reaction I was expecting. But when I arrived, a van full of young Romanian guys pulled up at 8pm, having just finished a long day of work. And there I was, with my tripod, expectations, and terrible Romanian. Honestly, they turned out to be super nice guys, and this taught me a lot. It was a good reminder that nobody owes me enthusiasm. If I ever feel disappointed in this series, it means I've lost sight of why I'm doing this in the first place: to create meaning and to honour my mother. Paint on the Canvas When applying the paint, make sure to leave some empty spaces on the canvas or paper.
