When I heard about this story, I couldn’t wait to share it! 🚘🚔🏁 Copperhead Road in Johnson County, TN has deep roots to the origin story of NASCAR where moonshiners would modify their vehicles to outrun the law! This exact road is a connecting road between North Carolina and Tennessee, and the moonshine runners would travel this road a lot during the prohibition era! It’s said there were nearly 400+ stills within the hills of this region from all the illegal activity, which is crazy to imagine! With all those stills, I imagine just like the song by Steve Earle says, “You could smell the whiskey burnin’ down Copperhead Road”. Hand Roll & Ramen Bar Hidden Gem in Raleigh, NC! 🍣🍜 We came across the best little hand roll and ramen bar, and we absolutely love it! One day we were just walking around in downtown and happened to see this spot so we had to try it. ✨ Daijobu is located on E Davie, and this small and vibey spot is on our list of places to bring friends for sure. We stopped and tried their signature Hand Rolls and Ramen, which was all incredible. We haven’t heard many people talk about this place yet, but it should be getting more attention! We will be back to try more of their menu! There are no reservations, walk-in only which is a change of pace for the area I feel like! NEW Boba and Asian Snack Lounge in Durham, NC! 🧋🥟 When we moved from Houston, Texas 3 years ago we missed all the bright and colorful hangout spots that seemed to be everywhere! And now, the new @gossiptealounge has that same vibe, and we know you will love it too! ☺️ Also, I have been craving a Mangonada as well, and this one hit the spot!! The food and drinks here are made with premium ingredients, so these are honestly some of the best boba drinks we have ever had. Their smoothies are so so so good as well, you need to try the Mango Cloud, Passionfruit and Dragonfruit flavors! All of their fruit drinks are made with fresh fruit, and you don’t see that often anymore! And the attention to detail in their food, wow! The Popcorn Chicken is marinated for 3 days, and the beef used in their Beef Banh Mi is also marinated… so good 🤤 Some unique things that we really liked were the Matcha Jam Croffles (Croissant Waffle), the authentic Vietnamese coffee, Matcha Beignets and their Mochi Ice Cream! I don’t think there is a bad thing on the menu, so just have fun picking something new every time! If a butter flavor is on rotation… GET IT! 😊 Then make your way over to @copperlineplants! 🪴 We love stopping here and checking out all of the cute plants they have. There are so many great plants to purchase here, we always end of grabbing something that fits perfectly in our home! The vibe here is certainly cute & cozy so it’s a great stop 🫶🏻 Last stop would be to visit the Raleigh Rose Garden outside of the @rlt1936!🌹 This always feels like a hidden gem in Raleigh even though it’s been around since 1951! There are 60 rose beds and lots of roses are currently in bloom! This is perfect for capturing some great photos with your coffee in hand that you grabbed earlier, and it’s perfect for enjoying a one of a kind park in NC! NEW Asian lifestyle store in Raleigh! ✨ We have always been big fans of Asian inspired stores, and when we heard that Ebisu was coming to Raleigh, we knew we had to go! ☺️ Things we noticed that they have in store - Japanese and Korean snacks, Asian drinks, fun stationary, Asian beauty products, fun collectibles, claw machines upstairs and more! Some of our favorite things we saw were Asian blind boxes (collectibles), a ton of cool Kit Kat flavors, so many cool Asian drinks, Asian beauty products and even the viral glass hair mask!
