Pressures off. Having fun is on! And no, the double wasn’t the problem here. He goes In his double now just as well as the snaffle in this video. And vice versa he went bad in the snaffle (worse then in the double back then). The double is just meant to be a refinement of aids. We stepped back for some time and stayed away from dressage. I learned to unlock and dance with him without the fancy tack. Or the competitive mindset. I trail rode more days then trained. I started unlocking his body and mind outside of the arena and things started to align when he told me he was ready to try again. Thanks to him I’ve become so Intune and perceptive to changes, feelings, expressions and vibes. And I will carry this with me for the rest of my career and with every horse. And no. That extension in the recent clip is far from perfect. But I am just so proud to see him completely change and start using different muscles I could never unlock back then. As always I’m here to be raw. I’m here to be real.
