I think it’s time we finally talk about how our periods affect our faith. When we’re doubled over with cramps, begging God to take the pain away. When PMDD makes us believe there’s no hope for a future. When PMS hits and we have no energy to get out of bed. As women, we often find ourselves at the mercy of our menstrual cycles. It’s exhausting. I want to normalize these conversations so other women feel less alone and less crazy. And i want them to know that Jesus never leaves you, He’s weathering every storm right alongside you. I even want women to fall in love with their bodies and not hate our periods. Plz read this before commenting The Holy Spirit encountered me when i was really struggling with a specific sin (lust, self pleasure, etc). It was like i came to Him time after time BEGGING Him to take it from me. And then one night when i hit my wits end I was praying in my bed and broke out in tounges. I already know what some people may comment: the gifts have ceased, tounges isnt real, this was all an illusion. You can debate theology but you cant argue my testimony or my experiences. The Holy Spirit is alive and moving. He endwells in His people and desires to speak to us and through us. As 1 Corinthians 14 says, tounges is a gift given to build the believer. When I spoke in tounges, the Lord was building me in my faith. And im so grateful that the Spirit led me to translate it (another biblical principle). For anyone struggling with a sin they feel they just cant get a grip on - this verse is also for you. The Lord’s grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in your weakness.
