🧬We can both have biological children… but we’re still doing IVF 💉 Charlie and his mum are the only two people in the UK ever recorded with his rare genetic heart condition. It caused a cardiac arrest when he was 15, and any child we have has a 50% chance of inheriting it 💔 So we’re doing IVF with PGT-M, genetic testing that checks our embryos before implantation. TWO YEARS AGO we got pulled on stage with COLDPLAY 🤯🎤 Still can’t believe this happened in front of 60,000 people, all because we made a sign with some Hobbycraft paper and a permanent marker 😂 We waited in the queue, held it up with no expectations, and after ignoring us for what felt like ages, Chris Martin suddenly waved us on stage. Just like that. In front of 60,000 people 🫣 We have no idea how it happened. Maybe someone from the show spotted us earlier. But it felt like the universe saying, go on then! 👀 And for everyone asking, Charlie was five pints deep, Chris Martin smelled incredible and we actually had Charlie Brown as our wedding exit song 💍🎶 But what meant even more… is that afterwards, over 500 of you signed up to give blood and register as bone marrow donors. 🧬 We’ve been on the NHS IVF waiting list for over two years… and today, a GP told me “What’s the rush? You’re only 27” 🤯👀🙃 Charlie and his mum are the only two people in the UK with a rare genetic heart condition. It caused his cardiac arrest at 15.
