Let’s talk about it. Have you been in this situation? What did you do? Father’s Day, his birthday & Christmas… I bought him gifts from the kids, because I believed it was the right thing to do. Not for him, or for me but for the children. But it hasn’t been mutual, no card, no gift, not even a mention on Mother’s Day. So this year, I’m helping the girls make him a card and that will be all. I don’t want to be petty and not get him anything, so a small gesture for the children to give to him seems enough. Kitchen Makeover Part One ✨🔨 I have always dreamed of having a kitchen with an island and it’s finally happening! I don’t remember when or how this idea popped into my head but I’m running with it and after living with a cardboard box kitchen island for 10 days, I have finally taken the plunge and bought something a little more permanent. I bought this island second hand and saved myself £150… so if my girl maths is correct anything extra I now add to this space is free 😅 As a single mum, I’m always trying to find affordable ways to decorate my house and make it home. I just find the hardest part is bringing my vision to life… because why is furniture so heavy! So it’s time to say goodbye to my trusty cardboard box “island” and attempt to build what will be my new kitchen island. Part 2 of my kitchen makeover project 💖 We’re picking up right where we left off… with the whole thing literally falling apart 😅 This time, I finally got the island built 👏🏼 I wrapped the worktop in a marble effect vinyl (never again!), spray painted these pendant light dupes I picked up for just £15!!
