Blair’s crew at @samson_pools are total professionals; building pools in Manitoba since 2007! Picking the liner is always a tricky part because it ends up looking SO different once water hits it, and you pick this early on (February for me) so when I saw it all filled up and the most perfect sparkling jewel color, I breathed a sigh of relief! 💎 It’s giving Mediterranean summer which will only continue further once the light finish concrete is poured . I was quoted $4k to remove this popcorn ceiling in my whole home, so spending $200 on a tool to make it easier…girl math says YES! Real talk: WHY DIDN’T I DO THIS SOONER?! oh right…the mess LOL and honestly team, it’s super messy even with a shop vac hooked up (that’s the best way to do it IMO). If you want to do this, just be prepared for a ton of mess. Scraping the ceiling took me an hour…cleaning took two! I’ve spoken to folks who had this done professionally and they said it was messy that way too so there really isn’t any way around that. That said, I was quoted $4k and so far I’m in $200 CAD for this tool and I have zero regrets. Key info: ‼️ test your home for asbestos before proceeding…my home is too new for that to be an issue, but I’m still exercising caution with PPE 🔨 this is only step one. after this I will hand scrape the edges and corners, patch any imperfections, sand, prime, and paint 🎨 if your ceiling has been painted, this tool will likely not be effective…sorry! 💨 turn off your furnace and replace your filters after this! We will likely get a duct cleaning done after I’ve completed the whole house since it’s been about 6 years and a lot of construction has happened. 💪🏼 yes it’s heavy…but I’m strong.
