📸: @Jack 🐍: @Quiet I’m sure everyone’s wondering, what’s new with the build? (YOUTUBE COMING SOON) Well I’m here to answer that, stay with me! This new rendition of the challenger features lighter components, more power, and increased safety. Weight: The goal this year was to strip the vehicle of anything we didn’t absolutely need, using my knowledge I was able to completely delete and un-pin the interior wiring harness, keeping only the necessary parts of the harness, this allowed us to delete the center console as a whole including the a/c controls, volume controls, and so on. We are also now using an emptied dash, underneath the dashboard of the challenger is over 100lbs of A/C and heater components, we were able to strip ALL of it out, so it is nearly just a shell weighing around 20lbs. On top of this we dropped the original fuel tank/pump/lines weighting in at over 90lbs, replacing it with an aluminum fuel cell/ aeromotive brushless 5.0GPM pump, and snow_performance lines, fittings, filters and more. That weighing in at less than 30lbs. We also focused in on stripping the interior of 90% of its trim, all of the carpet, and of course replacing the seats with some ultra light weight racing seats by kirkeyracing which dropped us over 60lbs. Keeping the air suspension was crucial for me to achieve exactly what I wanted in this racecar, we went ahead and DELETED the entire trunk setup, original heavy wiring harness and more. We moved the air suspension and mounted it behind each rear wheel, evening the weight distribution and putting the pounds where they need to be for the best functionality. We also went with vfc_performance 17” beadlocks sitting pretty on some mickeythompsontires . Lastly we remapped our turbos, allowing for less piping, less hoses and better functionality.
