I don’t know what to say here. I went back and forth on even posting this video because it’s very uncomfortable. What started out as a silly word that I got tripped up with, turned into a full on stuttering meltdown. I guess sometimes I take for granted the days I can go without a single block… but the reality of stuttering is that I have no control over when it comes up and why it chooses to make itself known again. My wife sees moments like these behind closed doors- never judging- just quietly supporting me through the tics. I think it’s time I showed you guys what I’m so desperately spending my whole life trying to suppress. I’m not above looking human and I feel foolish for losing sight of that. An argument broke out at one of my shows in the balcony. When I asked about the commotion, the lady told me the guy next to her kept shushing her. She and her friend responded by telling him where he can shove it- and then proceeded to tell me to turn the mic up so he could hear. Conflict can be very uncomfortable at shows, but when it becomes too distracting for people in the room to ignore, getting involved is sometimes the only option. I caught some strays in the crossfire here- but sometimes a silly moment can be a good reminder that everyone is just here to have a good time. #heckler #comedy #show #standup #conflict #resolution #fyp
