I know the question you want to ask ❓ • I’ll get to that 😉 • But first the lesson you need to learn 📚 • Succeeding in sports is not just about how good you are at that sport 🏆 • As I played at high and higher levels I started to realize more and more 🤔 • How many distractions there are 😖 • How many things you have to deal with that having nothing to do with actually playing ⚽️ • Opposing players 🗑️ talking you constantly (because they will) 😈 • Fans booing and whistling (even cheering can be a distraction sometimes) 📣 • Articles about you and/or your team in newspapers (good or bad) 🗞️ • The mind games that even your own coach might play on you 😵💫 • The constant pressure could be overwhelming for anyone 😥 • Some of the best athletes in the 🌍 have allowed themselves to become distracted in the biggest moments of their careers… • Zidane might have won the 2006 World Cup for 🇫🇷 if he didn’t let Materazzi’s 🗑️ talking distract him… • He took his eyes off the ball for one moment 👀⚽️ • And he’ll regret it for the rest of his life… • But how you respond to that pressure is what will determine if you become a successful athlete 🥇 • Or not 😔 • Can you keep your cool?? 😎 • Or will you let someone distract you from doing your job?? 🫠 • Just like I let that kid distract me when I was playing in 🏴 • Or just like I distracted that player all those years ago in 🇬🇷 • When I frustrated him so much that I got him sent off, and he pulled down his shorts and showed me his 🍆 • Oh and the answer to your question… • Μικρότερο από το δικό μου 🤷🏻♂️ #improvingallways

If you play ⚽️ and you never sat on the bench for 90 minutes… • It’s coming. • And if it’s not then what that means is you’ll never play at a high level 🤷🏻♂️ #improvingallways
This is often one of the first questions a ⚽️ coach will ask you… • Make a good first impression not a bad one 😉 • Make sure to ❤️ if you found this video helpful (or even just funny 😂) #improvingallways
It makes sense when you think about it 🤔 • An academy ⚽️ player isn’t the finished article. They still need to improve 📈 to learn 📚 and develop 🎓 • Take a young ⚽️ player with a good attitude 🧠 and you can teach them a lot. • A young ⚽️ player who has already developed a bad attitude though?? They’ll just cause problems ⚠️ #improvingallways
I’m not saying the first question is bad, but the second one is better. • If you want to raise a winner, raise someone who is not afraid to fail. Better yet, raise someone who loves failing. Because failure is not the opposite of success… • It’s part of it 😉 #improvingallways
