hot honey got me folded HONEY BUTTER KATSU MUSUBI something about katsu and honey butter got me in a chokehold. in the past season we did a kimchi honey butter katsu and it was GAS. this time we took a sweet and simple approach with Trader Joe’s Hot Honey and it truly does wonders. two ingredient sauce? hello?? make sure to top it with furikake and trust, it’ll be perfect. enjoy! Honey Butter Katsu Musubi Recipe: 4-5 pcs chicken thighs 3 eggs 4 tbsp ap flour 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp pepper pinch of salt panko parsley neutral cooking oil 1/4 cup Trader Joe’s Hot Honey 2 tbsp butter cooked rice furikake musubi mold 1. wash & cook rice 2. mix eggs, flour, paprika, pepper, and pinch of salt in a bowl. set aside. pour panko and sprinkle parsley in a flat container. set aside. 3. cut chicken thighs and cover with a plastic wrap. flatten thighs with a mallet. season with pepper and salt lightly. set aside 4. fill medium pan about half inch of oil. heat oil in a pan til 330F and try to maintain this temp while cooking (or sprinkle a tiny bit of panko to see bubbling to know it’s ready). dip your chicken thigh pieces into egg mixture, then cover in panko mixture on both sides, then into frying oil. fry til brown on both sides, set aside on a plate with paper towel or wire rack. 5. mix hot honey and butter together in a sauce pan on medium/low heat until it is all incorporated. take off heat 6. using a musubi mold, fill with cooked rice, top with furikake, then press down using the mold press to make a musubi shape. dip or pour glaze on to your katsu. top musubi with your glazed katsu. top katsu with furikake. wrap with nori sheet 7. enjoy! 🎵 Kehlani - Folded (ASTN verse) #katsu #Recipe #foodreels#EasyRecipes #cooking #musubi #honey #honeybutter

who’s going to help me eat these? It’s not a Musubi Series without some spam musubi, this time we doubled it and passed it on to the next hungry cutie. This is my originally spam musubi recipe, my beloved bread & butter and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Original Spam Musubi Recipe: musubi mold 3 cups rice 1 can 25% reduced sodium spam cooking oil nori sheets furikake 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup sugar 1-2 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1-2 tsp sriracha 1. Wash rice thoroughly. Cook rice 2. Open can of spam. Cut longways on its side into 8 even slices (tip: cut in halves for even pieces). Optional: score on the ‘faces’ of the slices to prevent ‘bubbles’ when cooking 3. Lightly oil pan. Cook on med/med high heat til both sides brown. Side aside 4. In a sauce pan mix together sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha. Cook on med high til it bubbles then constantly slow stir til it thickens. Sauce should still be slightly runny while coating your spoon 5. Cut 4 nori sheets into halves 6. Assemble musubi by filling 2/3 of your musubi mold with cooked rice. Sprinkle furikake. Press mold down all the way then release the outside mold while pressing down. Rice shape should pop out. Coat spam in sauce. Layer saucy spam on top of nori, then the rice, then another glazed spam.
