This exercise transformed my athleticism! Do with progression, start with a seated jump over a smaller hurdle with no sprint, continue to raise the hurdles over time and add more hurdles, you can even add a short sprint at the end🦘 #jumphigher #verticaljump #jumptraining
If you're already strong and your goal is to jump higher or run faster, GET OUT THE weight room! Focus on your RATE of force once you can squat over 2x your body weight and can do standing calf raises with 2.3-2.4x your body weight (basically once your have a solid strength base) Studies show that explosive movements like sprinting, bounding, and plyometrics train your nervous system to produce force faster and a 2020 review in Sports Biomechanics confirmed that elite vertical jump performance is more closely tied to how quickly you produce force-not how much weight you can lift. Once you're squatting 2x your bodyweight, the real gains come from the track, not the barbell! #jumphigher #verticaljump
